Breast Augmentation Surgery


Breast augmentation (breast enlargement or breast enhancement surgery) is a very popular procedure for women and is one of the most commonly performed cosmetic surgery procedures. Dr. Swetnam performs this procedure to enhance the size of breasts using a saline filled or silicone filled implant.

There are many ways to perform breast augmentation, but the method must be tailored to the individual patient needs. Dr. Swetnam will perform a thorough and complimentary evaluation and recommend the best procedure for your desired goals and outcome. During your evaluation, you will have the opportunity to try on various sizes of implants and discuss your expectations and concerns with Dr. Swetnam.

There are typically two groups of women who request this operation. The first group are women who never developed sufficient breast tissue. The second group is made up of women who have lost breast size or have experienced drooping of the breast with age or after pregnancy or breastfeeding. Whatever your reasons are for considering a breast augmentation, you can be confident that Dr. Swetnam and his staff will be with you through every decision and work with you to ensure your expectations are met.

After a breast enlargement procedures, most of our patients are able to return to normal activities within two to three days and more strenuous activities within three to four weeks. A specific post-operative treatment plan will be developed, tailored to your needs.
