Will My Breast Augmentation Last Forever?
One of the most common questions I get regarding breast implants is “How long will they last?” The answer depends on a variety of factors, such as age, skin laxity, size of implant, etc. Removal or revision of breast implants is typically only done when and if a patient is no longer satisfied with the cosmetic appearance of the breasts. While a breast augmentation is an excellent procedure to boost confidence and a more youthful appearance, your body will continue to experience the natural toll of gravity over time.
It is not uncommon for women with breast implants to consider a revision procedure after about a decade, but many patients are happy with the results for much longer than that. Other factors, such as weight gain/loss and hormonal changes can contribute to the change in shape and skin elasticity, requiring implant removal or new implants to be placed.
If you have had a breast augmentation and are unhappy with your current breast shape or size, I would love to schedule you for a complimentary consultation to discuss your options. To schedule, call 479-466-4174.
